Questionnaire

Dear participant,

Please fill in our questionnaire at this site (myIDC). It will help us improve the next edition of the International Design Competition!

Regards - IDC '10

Welcome

The International Design Competition '10 (IDC '10) is a battle of knowledge between the top of the chemical engineers in training. It is for Master students that want to prove themselves, but mostly for students that are looking for a challenge, wanting to meet other international chemical engineers and students that want to get experience in the world of being an engineer.

The goal of the competition is to find a solution for a chemical technological problem. This problem will be given to you on the kick-off day in Delft (the Netherlands.) Here you will meet other international students. After the introduction you and your colleague student will be given two months to find a solution. The problem could for instance be to design a continue process for something that has only been done in batch so far, or to optimise/change an existing process. All couples of students will be given the same problem and the goal is to finish with the best solution.

A jury of five experienced professors/chemical engineurs will find the best couple of each university. This couple will be invited to Delft once more and here you will have a diner with the top of each university. Besides that, this day, the winning couple will be appointed and will present their solution to the problem and will go home with € 1.250. The second and third price are respectively € 750,- and € 400,-. Also all students will get a nice reminder of the competition and the winning couple of each university will get a proof for being so.

In short, it will be a unforgettable adventure in the world of the chemical technology with a possibility of winning magnificent prices.
